Beloved friends, before anything else I want to pause and check in with you. How are you holding up in these times? The energy is intense, the headlines are heartbreaking, and I know many of us are feeling stretched thin in our nervous systems and spirits. If you’re weary, if you’re grieving, if you’re unsure what comes next – you’re not alone.
The news of Charlie Kirk’s assassination has struck a deep chord in the collective psyche. It was a horrific act, witnessed in real time, leaving behind not only grief for his family but also a psychic rupture across the body of our nation. Regardless of political stance, the loss is massive, the wound undeniable. The reverberations of violence at this level remind us that we are living in a time where words, ideologies, and divisions are escalating into realities that cut through flesh and spirit alike.
For months, many of us have sensed we were arriving at the “eye of the needle” – that narrow passage where collective tension and polarization would press us into a moment we cannot bypass. And here we are. This is not the time to numb ourselves with the next news cycle or to rush past grief. It is a time to pause, to feel, to witness – and to remember that we are moving through this threshold together.
Astrology cannot explain away tragedy, but it can offer a context – a language for what the psyche, the body politic, and the larger field are asking of us. Mars in Scorpio is fierce, penetrating, and relentless; Pluto in Aquarius is the subterranean machinery of power and systemic transformation. This is volatile energy. On the collective level it can surface escalations, revelations, and ruthless power plays. On the personal level it drags up old obsessions, jealousies, and shadow impulses that demand transformation rather than repression.

- Move the Energy: Use somatic practices – breathwork, vigorous exercise, ceremony – to transmute intensity into creative or regenerative action.
- Choose Transformation Over Domination: Act from the impulse to transmute and heal rather than to control or destroy.
- Avoid Emotional Hijacking: Reactive fury feeds the dark currents now in motion; strategic restraint and presence are acts of service.

Remember: eclipse portals do not shut the moment the Sun returns to normal. This eclipse’s portal remains active until the Aries Full Moon on October 6. That means the next two-plus weeks are a charged, unstable bridge. Expect continued revelations, volatility, and catalytic events. The invitation is to stay awake, steady, and compassionate – so that what emerges can be integrated rather than weaponized.
The Bigger Picture: Hold the Center
Finally: do not give your nervous system over to being hijacked**. Emotional hijacking – reacting from fear, outrage, or projection – becomes food for the dark forces that thrive on division. In these charged hours, every personal meltdown is also an offering to those currents of fear and control.
Remember the deeper metaphysical truth we work from: there is nothing outside. We are a hologram reflecting fractals of the One God back to one another. Every reaction, every condemnation, every outburst is a mirror. If we are to survive and to serve, we must recognize the mirror, take responsibility for our projections, and choose the path of transmutation.
This Virgo eclipse is a passage. With the lights going out, with fire building, with the portal open, we are being asked to embody discernment, compassion, and courage. If we can hold steady – refining without hardening, acting without lashing, discerning without demonizing – we emerge tempered and realigned.
