The Water Rose, and So Did We: A Full Moon Reflection in the Wake of the Flood

Capricorn Full Moon Reflections: Rising Through the Waters

As the Capricorn Full Moon rises today, July 10th at 18˚, it casts its steady light not just on the peaks of mountains – but on the endurance of those rising from the depths.

Here in Texas, we are in the thick of collective trauma. The floods that struck around July 4th left behind devastation we are still processing. Entire communities were washed out in hours. Children were lost. Homes destroyed. The rivers rose fast – and what they took cannot be replaced.

And yet, through the heartbreak, something equally powerful has emerged: the fierce beauty of community.

Through The Shift Foundation, Russell and I have been on the ground this week, delivering initial donations and coordinating with local networks for long-term support. We stood where the waters had surged and spoke with those still in shock. We witnessed both the grief and the resilience. Our next step is mobilizing teams of volunteers to return in waves over the coming weeks – to help restore, clean up, and hold space for those rebuilding not just their homes, but their lives.

💧 This Full Moon Illuminates More Than Our Own Grief

This Capricorn Full Moon directly opposes the Sun and Jupiter in Cancer – a sign that rules water, memory, and the emotional body. Jupiter’s presence there amplifies the waters, both literally and spiritually. It heightens everything: emotion, grief, empathy, and the ache for home and safety. This is a time when the Earth herself is grieving, and we are not separate from that.

Flooding hasn’t been limited to Texas – it’s also swept through New Mexico, Oklahoma, and even parts of China, where communities are enduring strikingly similar devastation. The scale and timing of these events stir deep questions. While we may never fully understand the forces behind them, we can choose how we respond. May this moment, however painful, serve as a kind of purification – not through suffering alone, but through what it awakens in us: compassion, clarity, and commitment to care for each other and the Earth more tenderly.

Let this Full Moon be an invitation to feel fully, cry deeply, and move emotion through the body. Capricorn teaches us not to suppress – but to channel. Grief becomes prayer. Movement becomes medicine. We become vessels not only of sorrow but of resilience.

👐 How to Help

If you feel called to support the relief efforts:

  • You may donate directly HERE: (Tax deductible)
  • Or if you’re local and want to volunteer with boots on the ground, please respond to this email to get connected.

Tonight, we honor the ones who were lost. We hold those still in mourning. And we anchor into the truth that even in chaos, we are not alone. The water may rise, but so do we.

VIBRATIONAL SUPPORT THROUGH GRIEF & TRANSFORMATION

In the midst of so much loss, density, and emotional overwhelm, it’s essential to find ways to stay grounded and coherent. The Solex AO Scan has become a quiet ally for us – helping us release shock patterns, soothe the nervous system, and reconnect with clarity when the weight of the world feels too much.

This isn’t about escape – it’s about energetic integration. Grief moves through the body, and we need support that honors the sacredness of that process.

The AO Scan gently assists with:

  • Releasing stress and emotional congestion
  • Supporting nervous system regulation
  • Restoring inner balance during high-intensity shifts

If you’re feeling tender, scattered, or heavy – this may be a tool worth exploring. You’re not broken. You’re moving through something holy. And you don’t have to do it alone.
