NEW MOON at 9˚ SCORPIO
Nov 1st we arrive at the New Moon at 9˚Scorpio initiating the lunar cycle of our yearly underworld explorations. The previous sign of Libra, ‘the sacred mirror’, reflecting the ‘shadow’, catalyzed our descent into the darkness. During this excursion we are faced with places and spaces we might wish to avoid or tend to project onto others. However, in truth, they hold the alchemical keys to unlock our highest personal and collective ascension timelines.
SCORPIO has 3 SYMBOLS:
SCORPION: The sting of awakening, the pain that dissolves the ego and sets the process of transmutation in motion.
SNAKE: The molting and shedding necessary to surrender what we have outgrown.
EAGLE: Often referred to as ‘the phoenix’ that flies from the ashes transformed, free from the shadows & the obstructions to the flow of light, flying higher, and more wise than before.
While recently researching ‘ecdysis’, the process that the snake goes through as it’s shedding its skin – I was struck by a certain part of this process. It seems that upon the initial death process, when the snake’s skin becomes dry and lifeless, it will rub up against something sharp…like a tree, or a rock. The impetus is to pierce or puncture within, in order to initiate the final process of shedding, that it may then slither its way to freedom and the rebirth of the new life.
This extraordinary process is a prime example of how evolution works. That once we have outgrown a certain stage of our evolution, we must go through a surrender and death of that which has exhausted itself. And, in order to do so, we must ‘rub up against something sharp’ to initiate the process.
I find it truly helpful to apply this awareness to this very turbulent, seemingly ‘dark’ moment we find ourselves on the planet.
How is it that the entirety of humanity could ever make this massive SHIFT from one Age, and into another, without a significant ‘CONTRASTING’ energetic force to (rub against) and catalyze such a quantum leap?
And so therefor, seeing through this lens… perhaps the perceived ‘dark players’ upon the planet, are merely playing a role in ‘piercing’ the collective fabric – to shock, awaken, and mobilize with such force and ferocity necessary to catalyze such an all-encompassing global shift?
This is how I understand evolution. This is how I rest in trust during such turbulence and uncertainty. That seen through the eyes of neutrality, rather than duality, all aspects of both light, and dark, are essential.
However, we might anticipate a rise in intensity as Pluto and Mars- the two planetary rulers of this New Moon, oppose one another at this lunation –resulting in volatility, explosive rage and potential violence. Power, greed, corruption and deceit are all amplified in this time of the dark Moon, and may reach a boiling point creating an air of global instability.
It is important to remember however, that no planets, signs, or archetypes are inherently malefic, there is always a positive potential outcome available. The complete transformation of will, power and leadership, both personal and collective, is one we should all be striving for.
We have been dancing with the Libra/Aries axis now for two years as the nodes and all the eclipses have fallen here. (Mars is the ruler of Aries). And we are now approaching the final chapter, as the last Aries eclipse will be in March.
Arriving at this collective tipping point, we hear a resounding battle cry- ‘Calling All Spiritual Warriors’– to fully AWAKEN from the dream, into full heart-centered mobilization. To truly exit the matrix, and to devote our lives to weaving the fabric of the New Earth. It is happening! Keep your eyes on the horizon!
SCORPIO rules evolution and so tis’ the season for us to turn our gaze inward, assess our own shadowlands, surrender to the alchemical fire, and then rise again higher…more refined, more pure, more free and more powerful than before.
It is going to be a wild few weeks friends. Stay alert, breathe before reacting, and see all through the eyes of compassion, forgiveness, and the One Mind.
