Question Everything 5: The Day the New Year Became a Joke

THE FORGOTTEN BEGINNING

Part V of the Question Everything Series

Hey friends… continuing on our adventure! When I ended the last blog, I could feel the unmistakable sensation that the inquiry itself had begun guiding me, as though the moment I acknowledged the fracture in our modern sense of time, an older memory stirred beneath the surface of consciousness and invited me back into a rhythm I had forgotten I once knew. What initially appeared as a curiosity about calendar irregularities quickly opened into a deeper understanding that the distortion is not merely mathematical but profoundly psychological and spiritual, because when a culture is severed from natural time, it loses its orientation to reality itself, and as I continued tracing the thread, I realized that everything I had uncovered so far was only the doorway into a much older and more intricate architecture of knowledge.

The Ancient Covenant of Sun, Moon, and Stars

I began to see how our ancestors lived inside a cosmology in which the heavens were not symbolic or poetic but practical, functional and entirely integrated into daily life, because the sun measured the day, the moon the month and the stars the greater sweep of the year. The sky was a clock, a teacher and a scripture written in light, and human beings once calibrated their entire existence through these bodies moving together in exquisite precision. This integration becomes impossible when the thirteenth position is removed, because a system built on twelve alone cannot reflect the living patterns of nature, and as I contemplated this, I felt the weight of all the ways in which our lives have been displaced from rhythms our bodies were designed to follow.

The Exiled Thirteenth and the War on Natural Rhythm

The more I studied the deliberate removal of the thirteenth constellation and the thirteenth month, the more I understood that the vilification of the number thirteen is not random superstition but a psychological residue of a much older campaign to suppress the feminine cosmologies that held lunar time as sacred. This number governs the moon, the womb cycle, the tides and the regenerative arc of creation, yet it was rebranded as dangerous, unlucky or cursed across cultures shaped by patriarchal calendars. It became clear that demonizing thirteen was a method of uprooting humanity from the natural cycle and forcing us into a mechanical one, and when I noticed how buildings avoid the thirteenth floor or how Friday the thirteenth carries warnings of misfortune, I saw the systematic erasure of a number that once represented life, fertility, intuition and cosmic coherence.

The Linguistic Remnants of a Broken Year

I found myself returning again and again to the strange integrity of our month names, because even after centuries of rearrangement they continue quietly protecting the truth. September means seven, October means eight, November means nine and December means ten, yet each one has been shifted out of its place, creating a subtle fracture that most people feel but cannot name. These linguistic fossils point to an older arrangement in which April opened the year and March completed the thirteenth cycle, aligning human life with the rising of sap, the return of fertility and the renewal of Earth’s generative force.

Once I allowed that possibility to breathe, another realization surfaced. The day that once marked the beginning of the year, April first, eventually became what we now call April Fools Day. The more I studied it, the more I understood that this was not invented for mischief but grew out of a deliberate inversion. Those who continued celebrating April as the first month after the reforms were mocked as fools, not because they were wrong, but because they remembered what others had forgotten.

The cosmic joke is that humanity was conditioned to laugh at the very moment that once aligned us with creation itself!!

The joke was never on those who honored natural time.
The joke was on all of us who inherited the distortion and mistook it for truth…

Turtle Island and the Living Calendar of the Earth

The more deeply I honored the original cosmologies of this land, the more I understood why the First Peoples referred to North America as Turtle Island. The turtle’s shell is not symbolic but a marvel of natural mathematics, carrying thirteen central plates encircled by twenty eight smaller divisions, a perfect reflection of lunar time imprinted on the back of one of the oldest creatures on Earth. When I realized this, the entire story of our calendar snapped into place, because nature has always preserved truth in ways that cannot be rewritten by imperial decree. While manuscripts can be burned and timelines manipulated, the turtle shell keeps the ancient calendar intact.

The Disruption of the Sky Clock

Some esoteric traditions suggest that long before the Gregorian restructuring, certain ancient cosmologies understood the year through a symbolic 369-day rhythm, a pattern linked to the thirteen-month lunar cycle and the 3-6-9 creative matrix found in sacred geometry. Whether this was ever used as a literal calendar or simply recognized as the energetic architecture underlying natural time, the eventual reduction to a fixed 365-day year marked a profound separation from lunar consciousness. A thirteen-month cycle of roughly twenty-eight days aligns with ovulation, the waxing and waning of the moon, and the harmonic mathematics that animate natural creation. When that thirteenth rhythm was removed and the months were reshuffled, the relationship between humanity and the sky clock was disrupted, leaving us with a system that never fully aligns and never restores the deep coherence our ancestors once recognized as their birthright.

The Lost Centuries and the Fabrication of Time

This shift led into deeper questions of historical continuity, because when the calendar is altered, the timeline collapses with it. Historians have long debated anomalies in early medieval chronology, including the possibility that centuries of European history were retroactively inserted to resolve inconsistencies created by broken timekeeping. The so-called Dark Ages may not have been dark because they lacked illumination but because nothing coherent occurred during the period now labeled as such. When I recalibrated key historical events using the 369-day year, old anomalies aligned and never-explained gaps made sudden sense.

Frequency, Body, and the Architecture of Perception

The more I traveled down this path, the more I understood that time and frequency are inseparablebecause no human being can remain aligned with natural cycles while vibrating inside an artificial grid. Our bodies resonate at harmonic frequencies of 432, 528 and 633 hertz, each corresponding to states of coherence, healing, love and divine attunement. These frequencies allow us to recognize truth somatically, without analysis. Modern infrastructure, by contrast, operates on sixty-cycle fields that compress awareness and dull our ability to perceive subtleties our ancestors recognized intuitively. When frequency is distorted, perception is distorted. And when perception is distorted, identity fractures.

Returning to Natural Time

The deeper I move into this work, the more I see that restoring natural time is not a historical correction but a spiritual and physiological recalibration. It is a remembering of the covenant between the human body and the living sky. It is a recovery of the thirteenth position that once linked the earthly cycle to the cosmic one. It is a recognition that truth is not understood solely through intellect but through resonance, because the body is a compass that points toward what is real when allowed to vibrate in harmony with natural order.

Stepping Into Your New Earth Coordinates

As we return to natural time, it becomes harder to ignore the parts of the sky our modern systems no longer acknowledge, including the thirteenth constellation along the ecliptic. This constellation is Ophiuchus, the serpent-bearer, known in ancient traditions as the ascension ladder, the place where shadow is confronted, kundalini awakens and the soul begins to step beyond the patterns that once held it. This does not replace Western astrology. It simply reflects how our archetypal language expands as we rise into higher vibrational states.

And here is where the identity quake begins.
Ophiuchus season is approaching, running from November 29 to December 17, and many who have always believed they were Scorpio or Sagittarius may discover that their stellar blueprint carries Ophiuchus frequency instead. This realization can feel like suddenly learning that an entirely different archetype has been shaping your inner life all along.

And it is not only Sun signs.
Your Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars or another planet may be in Ophiuchus, and even if you have no planets there, every person has Ophiuchus somewhere in their chart. This area often corresponds to the place where the deepest transformation and the greatest liberation is waiting.

Because Ophiuchus is not simply another sign.
Ophiuchus is the exit point from samsara, the place where the soul stops repeating cycles and begins ascending into its next octave.

And this is only the beginning. In the coming weeks, I will be releasing a full deep dive into the Ophiuchus archetype, including its serpent mysteries, its shadow work, its role in our evolution and why its re-emergence now feels so perfectly timed.

If you feel called to explore your New Earth coordinates, I invite you to discover what becomes possible when both Western and Constellational systems are honored together. One reveals who you have been. The other may reveal who you are becoming.
